4. How does Transolutions compensate medical transcriptionists?

Transolutions recognizes that medical transcriptionists are highly skilled professionals who are in high demand!  We offer a progressive compensation plan that rewards excellence in production and quality.  Your base rate of pay is determined by productivity.  Transolutions measures on a 55-character line.  In addition to production pay, medical language specialists can earn account, shift and weekend differentials as well as a quality bonus!  Please contact our Recruiter for more information.

5. How many accounts will I be transcribing for at Transolutions?

Our experience has taught us that both our employees and our customers benefit from assigning medical transcriptionists to one primary account.  Secondary accounts are assigned as needed to complete your scheduled hours.  In this way, you are able to become familiar with the account specifics, dictators, and style required for each account.  We've seen that this is key to increasing your productivity and quality.

6. I understand that Transolutions allows me to set my own regular schedule. How does that work?

At Transolutions, we work with you to establish a schedule that suits your personal needs. Your schedule is a critical factor in both account placement and in determining benefits eligibility/cost, so we encourage you to review the following criteria carefully when discussing your schedule with your recruiter:

  • We offer traditional shifts--1st shift: 7am-2:59pm local time, 2nd shift: 3pm-10:59pm local time, 3rd shift: 11pm-6:59am local time-and "hybrid" shifts depending on account availability and yours!
  • You can set up your schedule to have "power periods" by alternating at least 2 hours of work with breaks. Keep in mind that you may not exceed 8 hours of work in a day or shift. In our experience, medical transcriptionists who schedule their workdays with "power periods" have reported significant increases in their productivity and quality. For example, you could set your schedule as 8-10am, 1-3pm and 6-10pm for a full 8-hour day.
  • We provide 24/7 support for you and for our clients, so we require all transcriptionists to commit to some weekend hours. We define the weekend as 12am Saturday through 11:59pm Sunday local time. Required weekend hours must be 20% of your scheduled hours for a 5-day workweek, 25% of your scheduled hours for a 4-day workweek, and 33% of your hours for a 3-day workweek. As part of our competitive compensation plan, we do offer a per line differential for working weekend hours. We appreciate your commitment!
  • Please work with your Recruiter to set your own schedule carefully as it will be your permanent schedule for the first six months of your employment. After six months, you may be eligible to flex your time and work with the Scheduling Department to set another schedule. If you have a special vacation planned, be sure to notify your recruiter before you begin working with us.
